k11 Atelier Kings Road Duct Sealing

K11 ATELIER King’s Road in Hong Kong is a leading green building, achieving Final Platinum levels for both WELL and LEED certifications. During construction, the contractor faced leakage issues in the pressurised stairs’ concrete ductwork, which risked failing the pressure test.

Instead of using conventional galvanised air ducts inside the concrete pipe, Aeroseal was applied to assess and seal the leakage at the same time. Leakage was reduced from 1,318.5L/s to 35L/s, achieving a 97.3% sealing rate. This provided a simpler, reliable solution that supported the building’s energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
