How Aeroseal Duct Sealing Works
Aeroseal is an aerosol duct sealing technology. The system pressurises your ductwork and releases a fine mist of sealant. As air escapes through the leaks, it carries the particles to the gaps, which build up and close from the inside.
Nothing is opened up. No ceilings removed, no ductwork dismantled, and the leak rate is measured before and after so you see exactly what changed.

How long does it take, and do we need to shut the building down?

The sealant is water-based and non-toxic, and it’s been used in healthcare facilities, schools, and food premises. It deposits only where the leaks are, rather than coating the duct interior, so the system stays clean.
How long does the seal last?
The sealant is tested for durability over a period of years, and once cured it holds under normal system pressure and temperature. In practice, the ductwork itself usually needs attention before the seal does.
Do you seal both supply and return ducts?
Yes. Both are sealed, and both are measured. Return-side leakage is often the bigger problem in older systems, since it pulls unconditioned air and contaminants in from ceiling voids.
